Recital programme

On Thursday 19 September 2019, our 2018/19 Monteverdi Apprentices, alongside members of the Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists and under the direction of John Eliot Gardiner, performed their final recital in the intimate surroundings of King’s College London’s Chapel.

An essential conclusion to the Apprentices’ time embedded amongst the Monteverdi ensembles, this recital gave Apprentices the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities as a free-standing vocal consort, consolidate the musical, technical and stylistic developments that defined their Apprentice year and – perhaps most importantly – enabled a wider audience to see them at work under the baton of one of the world’s greatest living conductors.
