This weekend: watch our final Monteverdi Trilogy broadcast and listen to a new ‘Cantata of the Week’

The final broadcast of our award-winning 2017 Monteverdi Trilogy opera productions, L’incoronazione di Poppea, is now available to view.

This broadcast will contain subtitles, which can be turned on or off according to your preference. If you watch our broadcast live as it ‘premieres’ on YouTube, a member of the Monteverdi Team will be running our ‘Live Chat’ - a fantastic opportunity to ask any questions about this brilliant work.

During the interval, you can also enjoy some reflections from Kangmin Justin Kim (Nerone) and Zachary Wilder (Lucano), as they give some fascinating insights into their characters and their experiences of the Monteverdi 450 tour.

On Sunday, our ‘Cantata of the Week’ series - a celebration of our Bach Cantata Pilgrimage’s 20th anniversary - continues on 3 May from 10am (UK time) with BWV 146 ‘Wir müssen durch viel Trübsal’ (We must pass through great sadness), originally written for the third Sunday after Easter in 1726 or 1728. This week, our free online stream will be introduced by Sir John Eliot Gardiner.
