After performing Berlioz’s L’enfance du Christ with the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique in December 2021, our current string Apprentices reunite to perform two concerts at St Martin-in-the-Fields in February and March.

On Friday 25 February, after a period of workshops under the tuition of principals from the ORR, the Apprentices will give a lunchtime recital at St Martin’s. The programme features chamber music by Schubert, Puccini and Rossini, and will showcase the specialised talent of these gifted young string players.

Exactly one month later, the Apprentices return to Trafalgar Square to perform in St Martin’s ‘Crypt Lates’ series. This will be an opportunity to hear more exquisite Romantic chamber music, in the intimate and atmospheric setting of the church’s vaulted Crypt.
