Sam Madden
Sam Madden is an international tenor originally from Dunedin, New Zealand. He is currently a lay clerk at Ely Cathedral, as well as a freelance soloist and ensemble singer. Recent projects have included the role of Evangelist and tenor soloist in J.S. Bach’s Passions, and a premiere recording of Andrew Downes’ Song of the Prairies. He has also performed several solo recitals, including a recurring recital at the International Festival of Sacred Arts in Edinburgh. As an ensemble performer, Sam has performed with distinguished ensembles including St Paul’s Cathedral, Tenebrae and Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir.
