Emma van der Scheer

Emma van der Scheer is a Dutch alto/mezzo-soprano currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music. She previously earned a Bachelor’s degree with distinction at Conservatorium Maastricht, followed by a specialisation in Early Music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Equally passionate about solo and ensemble singing, Emma has performed across the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. Operatic roles include Irene (Handel’s Muzio Scevola), Orlofsky (Strauss’ Die Fledermaus), Olga Olsen (Weill’s Street Scene). She has also been a soloist in Handel’s La resurrezione and Messiah, Mozart’s Missa Brevis, and Haydn’s Nelson Mass.
