Ana Maria Labin

Romanian-born soprano Ana Maria Labin was raised in Switzerland. She has garnered international acclaim for her radiant voice and captivating stage presence, particularly in performances of Mozart and baroque repertoire.

While still a student in Zurich, she won First Prize at the prestigious Concours Suisse Ernst Haefliger. She made a distinguished debut as Valencienne in Franz Lehár’s Die lustige Witweat La Scala in Milan and the Opéra Garnier in Paris, under the baton of Asher Fisch. Recent highlights include Handel’s Ariodante on tour with Les Arts Florissants; Vivaldi’s Orlando furioso with Jean-Christophe Spinosi; Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade at Opéra de Nice and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées; Così fan tutte (concert version) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées; Don Giovanni at the Caracalla Festival; and Mozart’s Mass in C minor at the Salzburg Festival.

Future engagements include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony under Pinchas Steinberg in Pordenone and Trieste; Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten at the Maggio Musicale in Florence; Piccinni’s La Cecchina at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; and Handel’s Orlando with Les Musiciens du Louvre in Paris, Valencia and Barcelona.
