Petr Nekoranec - tenor

Tenor Petr Nekoranec is one of the most outstanding talents of the young Czech singing generation. His recent international engagements include Faust in Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris while in the 2025/26 season, he will appear in Nantes, France, Theater an der Wien and will make concert performances with major European orchestras.

In 2024/25, he debuted at the Polish National Opera, State Opera Berlin, and Queensland Opera, Brisbane, and appeared at Teatro Real Madrid, Lille, Lyon, and with Los Angeles Philharmonic. Since 2021/22, he has been a soloist at the National Theatre Prague, performing many roles including Rodolfo, Almaviva, Tamino, Ferrando, Roméo, Don Ottavio, and Nemorino.

Notably, he´s collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors, including Jiří Bělohlávek, James Levine, Oxana Lyniv, and Marco Armiliato.

Nekoranec was the first Czech selected for the Lindemann Program at the Metropolitan Opera (2016), was also a member of Bavarian State Opera studio where he won the Bavarian Art Prize in 2016, and received the Classic Prague Awards Talent of the Year (2018). He is a laureate of major European competitions, including the absolute winner of the Francesco Viñas International Competition (2017). He studied at Pardubice Conservatory with Jarmila Chaloupková, and collaborates with tenor Antonio Carangelo. His discography includes French Arias (2019) and Janáček’s The Diary of One Who Disappeared (2025).
