Matthew Monaghan

Growing up in the Black Country, countertenor Matthew Monaghan began his singing at Emmanuel Church, Wylde Green. While studying music at the University of Cambridge he sang with the choir of St John’s College, and now holds a Choral Graduate position there. Matthew is also the Musical Director of a cappella group The Gents of St. John’s. Alongside performing in frequent solo and choral engagements, international tours, recordings and radio broadcasts, Matthew is a keen choral conductor and is passionate about access to music education, leading singing workshops in state primary and secondary schools.
