Bogdan Talos - bass

Bogdan Talos has established himself as one of the leading basses of his generation since his Metropolitan Opera debut in 2025, admired for his refined voice, musical intelligence, and commanding stage presence.

In the 2025/26 season, he opens the season at Dutch National Opera Amsterdam as Lorenzo in a new production of Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi. He also appears at the Komische Oper Berlin as Gremin in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (directed by Barrie Kosky) and at Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Le Roi Soliman in Gounod’s La Reine de Saba and Ferrando in Verdi’s Il trovatore.

Born in Romania, Talos studied at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca and won numerous international awards early in his career. Following his debut as Don Pasquale in 2010, he appeared at major houses throughout Europe and became a member of the Komische Oper Berlin Opera Studio.

Recent highlights include debuts at the Metropolitan Opera and San Francisco Opera as Colline in La bohème, Leporello at the Opéra de Paris, Bluebeard in Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle in Düsseldorf, and Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro at Hamburg State Opera. His concert repertoire includes major works such as Verdi’s, Mozart’s and Brahms’ Requiems and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
