During our Monteverdi trilogy residency in Venice, Sir John Eliot Gardiner was honoured by Teatro La Fenice with a ‘Lifetime in Music Award’ for his services to music. The award was presented to him by La Fenice Artistic Director, Fortunato Ortombina at the culmination of an hour-long ceremony that featured performances from the Midi Ensemble and other notable award-winners.
