We’re excited to share the news that on 21 May, Deutsche Grammophon released John Eliot Gardiner’s complete recordings on Archiv Produktion and DG.
The boxset comprises all 104 recordings that Gardiner made with the labels in the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, including the Bach Passions, Mozart operas and Beethoven’s nine symphonies, along with music by Monteverdi, Haydn, Schumann, Holst, and many more.
The boxset contains some of the Monteverdi ensembles’ most memorable and critically-acclaimed recordings, with 93 of the 104 CDs featuring the Monteverdi Choir, English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique. There are also collaborations with the Wiener Philharmoniker and the NDR Sinfonieorchester, as well as famous soloists such as Anne Sofie von Otter and Bryn Terfel.
