Bach’s St John Passion nominated for Best Choral Performance in the 2023 Grammy Awards. 

We are very excited to announce that our critically acclaimed performance of Bach’s St John Passion has been nominated for Best Choral Performance in the 2023 Grammy Awards.

This recording of Bach’s great choral masterwork was filmed in the evocative setting of Oxford’s historic Sheldonian Theatre and streamed live via DG Stage on Friday 2 April 2021. The performance was released by Deutsche Grammophon on CD and Blu-ray disc in March 2022.

The Monteverdi Choir (singing from memory), English Baroque Soloists and John Eliot Gardiner were joined by a cast of exceptional young soloists - a new and exciting generation of British Bach singers including:
