Gramophone Magazine recently revealed the 72 recordings that have been shortlisted for 2017 Gramophone Awards which includes our SDG recording of Bach St Matthew Passion in the Baroque Vocal category.
The recording was captured live at Pisa Cathedral on 22 September during the Anima Mundi Festival. This performance was the culmination of a 6-month tour of the work which saw all the musicians and artists perform Bach’s masterpiece from memory.
