Monteverdi Choir & Orchestras presents MONTEVERDI 450

An international tour of Claudio Monteverdi’s three surviving operas and Vespers in celebration
of his 450th anniversary.

From April to October 2017 an international cast of soloists together with members of the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists will perform Monteverdi's trilogy of surviving operas and his unforgettable Vespers, in concert performances conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner. In these performances the orchestra, composed of Monteverdi's exotic and beautifully crafted period instruments, will take centre-stage and thus form a central part in the story-telling process.
